Provincial Trailer at the Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show

Provincial Trailer at the Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show

Brethren from the Northern Area gave up their time to volunteer and represent the Province with our new Trailer at the Royal Lancashire Agricultural show this year.
The event ran from Friday the 12th through to Sunday the 14th of August and was held at Witton Park in Blackburn.
The stand had many visitors including families enjoying the event and taking advantage of our face painting and free balloons! On the Saturday & Sunday, Bro Scott Miller, member of the East Ribble District Lodge Membership Officers group and Trustee of North West Blood Bikes, brought one of the Blood Bikes to the stand to demonstrate just a small part of what Freemasonry is doing for local worthy causes in our Community. The ELMC Community fund committee at the time provided over £4000 for a blood Bike in 2014 to assist with their essential work. Both the Face painting & Blood Bike proved a great draw to the stand.
Information packs including information on Freemasonry, our Charities, our District activities and a DVD were given out to interested parties, all in specially printed small carrier bags bearing our contact information and web/social media addresses.
Despite the weather there was healthy interest in our work and it was a worthwhile  interaction with Freemasonry and the Community.
Our presence at the weekend was overseen by East Ribble District Chairman WBro David Lightbown PAGDC, from idea, to booking and planning for the event, delivery, set up and close down every day and being part of the public facing team throughout the whole of the show.
Grateful thanks particularly to the Secretariat & all of the volunteers who helped assist including Bro Ian Ferrier (delivery and set up), WBro Paul Thornton (B&P District Chairman) & WBro Graeme Wilkinson, (public facing volunteers) all from the Burnley & Pendle District.
WBro Raymond Tattersall, WBro‘s Graham Chadwick, David Gill, Andrew Hindle, Bro‘s Scott Miller & Will Atkinson (public facing volunteers) along with WBro Bruce Pollard & WBro Ian Johnson (transport of trailer)
