Prayer and Reflection Space Donated to St. Paul’s Primary School

Monday, October 28th, 2019

St Paul’s Primary School in Oswaldtwistle has been awarded a donation of £ 250 towards their Prayer and Reflection Space by East Ribble Freemasons

John Shaw, a local Freemason and Vice Chair of Governors at the school approached East Ribble Freemasons to ask for their support in building a Prayer and Reflection Space in the school yard.

The space will revolve primarily around a bespoke and personalised prayer chair which has the 5 key words from the school’s vision – Rights, Ethos And Christian Team as well as symbols of the Trinity on it.

The space has false grass for the children to sit on and is enclosed by bamboo and other natural elements.  There will be planters growing mint and lavender etc, which will add to the calming effect of prayer and meditation.

The cost to build the space was in the region of £ 3,750 which the school has funded largely through its own efforts and East Ribble Freemason were happy to help get them to their target.

The Prayer and Reflection Space will add much needed colour to the tarmac play area at the rear of the school, more in keeping with the interior of the school which is vibrant and colourful.
