Everyone in our area knows all about Willow Wood Hospice. Situated in Ashton under Lyne, Willow Wood supports many people from our local area at a time of great need. Just about everyone in our area knows someone who has benefitted from their care and support and all too many of us have a much closer link to the Hospice. Recently, our Assistant Provincial Grand Master, WBro John Pearson had the great privilege of visiting the Hospice to present them with a certificate acknowledging a Grant of £2,718.00 made by the Masonic Charitable Foundation to support their work in the community. John was accompanied on his visit by WBro Peter Douthwaite, the District Chairman of Ashton & Mossley District, as well as by the District Charity Stewards from both Audenshaw and Ashton & Mossley Districts, WBros Nigel Johnson and Alan Jones. During the visit our team were given a short tour of the public areas of the Hospice, this included a short visit to the Hydrotherapy Pool, which was mainly funded by the Masonic Community back in the early days of the Hospice.
