A Remembrance Sunday service, given by Lay Preacher Neil Crane, took place at the Cenotaph on Cemetery Road, Droylsden on Sunday November 13th
The parade commenced at St Marys Church, Church Street led by the St John’s Church band and local residents gathered to remember our fallen heroes.
WBro Nigel Johnson PProvSGD, Audenshaw District Charity Steward, laid a wreath for and on behalf of the Freemasons.
All of our armed forces along with their Cadets, the Royal British Legion, the Ambulance Service, the Fire Service, Greater Manchester Police, Scouts, Brownies and others laid wreaths followed by local people paying their respects laying crosses etc.
They shall grow not old
As we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them
Nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them
