Latest Guidance in Relation to Covid-19 and Meetings

Due to the nature of the Covid-19 pandemic, the situation in East Lancashire is constantly changing and the restrictions which impact on our Meetings may not be the same in all parts of the Province. The overriding principle is to follow any current government/health guidance relating to where you both live and meet. Anything which UGLE/Province issues will simply illustrate what this means for us.

In simple terms:

    • if a meeting place is in an area where two households can’t meet indoors, then we can’t meet.
    • If a meeting place is in an area classified as Tier 2 or 3, then we can’t meet.
    • if a meeting place is in an area classified as Tier 1, we can meet provided the ‘Rule of 6’ is complied with.

Below you will find links to the guidance being issued by UGLE and the relevant Circulars from Province. With the introduction of the ‘Tier system’ by HMGov and as clarified by UGLE, our Provincial Circular No 206 is still current and the contents valid.

Please refer to the most recent which are at the top of the list.
