![]() Skills within the Province of East Lancashire
Brethren, We are looking to hear from any of you who have skills, which you are willing to make available to the Province. The ‘links’ at the bottom of this page will take you to other pages, which detail those skills for which we are currently looking. The skills, and the Brethren having those skills, are not only those which you use in your working lives but also those with advanced level skills which you may practice outside your work environment. The common factor is that we would like to hear from those of you Brethren who have such skills, but who also have some time which you are willing to make available to the Province, on your own terms as far as time commitment is concerned, on an occasional or an ‘as required’ basis. The Province and your Districts are always on the lookout for people to assist with day-to-day activities within the Province. We have District Officers, each of whom performs a specific role within his District. We have a number of committees, for example the Education and Development, Communications and East Lancashire 2015 Festival Committees. We also have a number of Provincial Leaders who have specific remits, for example, the Provincial Grand Almoner, Provincial Grand Charity Steward, Provincial Grand Mentor and Provincial Grand Orator, all of whom are assisted by brethren to carry out their work. Each of these 'teams' of brethren work entirely voluntarily for the benefit of Freemasonry within the Province. The contribution of each person is essential and highly valued. They do it because they enjoy participating with others in something worthwhile and for most it is a 'labour of love'. From time-to-time circumstances arise, across the range of activities which take place in the Province, which call for the use of specialist skills of one form or another. Certain skills may be needed for some of the more obvious roles in Districts with which we are all familiar, but quite often needs arise for more specialist skills such as presenting, training, marketing and so on.
