Direct Donations to the RMBI 2015 Festival

There is nothing easier than making a donation to the RMBI online directly through the 'Just Giving' website. If you are a UK Tax Payer you can also Gift Aid your donation. Fundraising for your own event in support of the RMBI 2015 Festival

 

You can also make your own free online fundraising page in minutes and then:

  • Email it to friends and family who can donate online easily and safely with a credit/debit card or by PayPal
  • The money goes straight to Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution

This is a valuable way to collect donations if, for example, you are doing a sponsored event other fundraising activity that requires individual donations. You can personalise your page with your own colours, photos and message. Then just email it to your friends and family, so they can donate online and leave you messages of support. We will also promote your Just Giving page on this page and on the forthcoming events pages so members of the Province and family, friends and colleagues can easily find it. JustGiving sends donations straight to Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution and adds Gift Aid to every eligible donation. the fee for operating the service is 5% of the tax reclaimed.

READ CAREFULLY: When you set up your page you will be selecting the RMBI as the Charity you are raising funds for. In order that your donations made through that page are accredited to the EL 2015 Festival please ensure you take the following steps:

  • Please notify us through Terry Kakoullis, the Appeal Committee member responsible for looking after this, that you have opened a page on Just Giving to support the 2015 Festival HERE
  • Advise the RMBI that you have opened a JUST GIVING page and that you wish all contributions that come through that page to be attributed to the East Lancashire RMBI 2015 Festival. You can contact the RMBI HERE
  • Please let us have copies of all donation records made through Just Giving. Just Giving will contact you monthly with a report. Please send copies of the reports to the Appeal Committee Chairman, David Thompson, HERE

Donations by individual masons or their partners, or by Lodges and Chapters, made through your page or via the EL 2015 Festival Page on 'Just Giving' can have those payments allocated against their personal records and will count towards the various honorifics available.

Sponsorship forms

There will be some individuals who do not have computer access to set this up, or who, despite the advantages of using the web, would prefer to use sponsorship forms. If this is the case then please consider using the Freemasons' Grand Charity's own forms for your event. This again will enable tax reclaim; your monies and completed paperwork should be sent to the Freemasons' Grand Charity who will look after the tax reclaim on our behalf and allocate the money to our Festival Chest. You can download the form and personlise it for your event HERE.

Please note - this sponsorship form asks that cheques are to be made payable to the "Freemasons' Grand Charity" and payments and forms sent direct to them. We will forward these on your behalf and, in any case, should have sight of them first so that we are aware. This is the only time that cheques should be made payable to the Freemasons' Grand Charity. All other Festival payments should come to the Festival Office at Bridge Street and be made out to "EL 2015 Festival".
