FAQs - Honorifics and Jewels

Will there be a Festival Jewel and if so what is the qualification for obtaining one?
The minimum payment to the Festival to qualify as a Steward and to qualify to purchase a Festival Jewel is £75 and the cost of purchasing a Jewel is an additional £20. This will then entitle the donor to apply for a ticket to attend the Festival Banquet in 2015.

Will Ladies be required to qualify as Stewards of the Festival, and wear the Festival Jewel, in order to attend the Festival Banquet?
For a lady to qualify as a Steward and attend the Banquet, she (or her husband/partner on her behalf!) will need to contribute a minimum of £25 to the Festival. There is no obligation for a lady to purchase a Festival brooch, but she may wish to do so at a cost of £20. The brooch, shown here, is the size of a 20p piece and made of hallmarked silver.
When can I purchase a Festival Jewel - once I have submitted my regular payment promise?
A donor can only purchase a Festival Jewel when he has contributed, and we have received, a minimum of £75, excluding tax relief.
Is there a difference between money donated to the RMBI Festival and that used to purchase merchandise and jewels?
The money received for merchandise and jewels pays for the cost of these items with a small profit margin. This excess money pays for running the Festival - printing, postage, training costs etc. At the end of the Festival any money left over will be donated to the Festival. Money donated to the Festival cannot and will not be used for any other purpose other than that for which it was intended.
Will a Festival bow tie be produced as well as ordinary tie?
Yes, a Festival bow tie has been ordered and will be available in pure silk.
