Eligibility for election to Third Principal-
Under special circumstances a Dispensation may be
granted to permit an installed Master to be eligible for election
to the Third Principal’s Chair without him having served the
office of Scribe, Principal Sojourner or Assistant Sojourner in the
Chapter for a full year.

- Eligibility for election to Second Principal
and First Principal

Under special circumstances a Dispensation may be
granted to permit a Principal who has not served in that office for
a full year to be eligible for election to the succeeding Principal’s
Chair.

- Eligibility of the Three Principals

A Dispensation is required for a Companion to:

simultaneously hold the office of First Principal
in two or more Chapters; |

continue as First, Second or Third Principal of the same Chapter
for more than two years in succession; |

- Death or Incapacity of a Principal Elect

In the event of a Principal being unable to undertake
his office (e.g. due to death, ill health, etc.), and in the absence
of any other eligible Companion, a Dispensation may be granted to
enable the Chapter to elect a replacement who already holds a regular
office in the Chapter.
