HOW TO APPLY FOR A DISPENSATION
Whenever necessary use the 'back' button on your browser to access the previous screen
| The best way to apply for a Dispensation is for you, the Lodge Secretary or Chapter Scribe E, to complete the appropriate form and submit it online. To find the appropriate Form click on the hyperlink "About" Dispensations (at the foot of this page) and then click on the category that meets your requirements. Note the brief summary and, if necessary, read the reference in the Book of Constitutions to ensure you can provide all the information required. You can then select the requisite "Online" Form, input the necessary details, check your input (and correct as required) and, finally, click the ‘Submit’ button to send the information. A summary of the information you have submitted is immediately returned to you which you can then print to keep a permanent copy for your records. Finally, you should post a cheque for the appropriate fee to:
If, for whatever reason, you are unable to use the online application system there may be someone who can assist you (preferably your Assistant!), or provide you with a blank, hard copy of the appropriate Form for you to complete manually and then send by mail (see above). In the unlikely event that it is impossible for you to use the formats provided on this Website, you should write to the Provincial Grand Secretary, or Provincial Grand Scribe E, and request that a Dispensation be granted. Your letter must make reference to the applicable Regulation or Rule for which the Dispensation is required and must include details of all relevant, associated circumstances. The request and the associated fee should be sent to the above address as soon as possible after the need for a Dispensation is identified and on no account later than four weeks before the date of the meeting to which it applies. Please note that under certain circumstances a Dispensation may NOT be required or the fee for the Dispensation may not be required (use the "Exceptions" button, below). |
