1 Can a Chapter pay the Province a lump sum from the Chapter's Charity Account, as a donation on behalf of the Companions to the Appeal?

If a Chapter wish to pay from a Charity account, they must pay direct into the Relief Chest set up for the occasion (Relief Chest Number RA2013). When submitting the money to Grand Charity it must be made clear that the money is to be recorded against the Province of East Lancashire. The money cannot be ‘held’ by the Province and sent as one large payment.

2 If a Companion is a member of more than one Chapter does he have to pay £10 for each Chapter?

No, if he is a member of more than one Chapter he only makes one donation of £10. Obviously if he wishes to donate more than £10 we would be delighted to receive it!
