Provincial Grand Treasurer


WBro Robert Frankl announced that, for the 3rd Year running, there was to be no increase in the dues for Provincial Grand Lodge! The income this year had just about matched our outgoings but improved overhead control meant that the dues are able to be frozen this year. He thanked the auditors for their ‘courteous and professional interrogation techniques', as they completed their work.


Sport and Trophies

 


The Derby Cups for Golf and Bowling were presented respectively to WBro Peter Carroll, the Provincial Grand Secretary of Cheshire, and brethren from the Lodge of Friendship, No. 277. Next time the Golf tournament will be on 7 July 2009 at Swinton Park Golf Club and the Bowls tournament on 18 August 2009. The Provincial Grand Master thanked all those responsible for arranging these competitions, and especially WBros. Malcolm Worsley, Alan Banks and Garth Bogle for the Golf.


Distinguished Brethren and Guests

The Provincial Grand Master welcomed the Distinguished Guests, Provincial Rulers and Leaders of other Orders with pleasure and enthusiasm, stating that their presence and support really completed the meeting. Those guest included no less than 6 Provincial Grand Masters (from Cheshire, RWBro TRR Richards, Yorkshire West Riding, RWBro JK Clayton, Yorkshire North and East Riding, RWBro R Anderson, West Lancashire, RWBro PJ Hosker, Cumberland and Westmorland, RWBro NJ Thompson and Northumberland, RWBro PJ Magnay.

Jack Price was also pleased to welcome his Royal Arch Team, The Deputy Grand Superintendent, Allan Bennion, the 2nd and 3rd Provincial Grand Principals (Roy Taylor and Rev. Donald Pryce) and the Assistants to the Provincial Grand Principals (Trevor Thomas, William Porter, Donald Simpson, Peter Messum and David Thompson.

He also introduced the Provincial Grand Master of The Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons (Keith Schofield), the Provincial Prior of the Knights Templar (David Gallear), the Inspector General of the Ancient and Accepted Rite - NE Lancashire (David Hawkins), the Intendent General of N&E Lancashire Red Cross of Constantine (Nigel Bramley-Haworth), the District Grand Prefect of the Order of the Allied Masonic Degrees (Alexander McLaren) and the Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler of the Order of the Secret Monitor (Howard Nuttall), together with a number of Past Leaders.
