The Lodge Mentor
The contents of this section are as follows:
- Information for Mentors
- The Lodge Mentor's role defined
- Attributes of a Lodge Mentor
- The Lodge Mentor's Interfaces
- Additional functions of the Lodge Mentor
- Publications of use to Lodge Mentors
- A word from the PGM
Background:
- 'Changing Times' (January 1999) recommended that each Lodge should appoint a Mentor
- The office of Mentor would not be an officer of the Lodge, but the holders' name and contact details would be shown on the Summons
The Mentor would ensure that each Candidate:
- Was welcomed into the Lodge and made to feel he belonged, rather than feeling ignored
- Was progressed in the Lodge (at a pace that suited his capabilities and aspirations) and that his interest grew and his enthusiasm flourished, rather than him becoming disinterested.
