Mentoring News

At Provincial Grand Lodge in November 2010 Jack Price stated that our Province’s Mentoring framework is of ‘A-Class standard’ and that I am my team of District Mentors are there to support you in providing attention, care and brotherly love within the Lodge, whilst at the same time     ensuring that every meeting is inspiring, valued, educational, enjoyed and looked forward to. The feeling that we have at the end of a great night out, the enhancement to our lives that Freemasonry brings, is very, very special and we must work together to ensure that this happens for every Freemason throughout the Province, especially the newer members. Our Mentoring framework (Guides, Initiates’ Craft Handbook, Mentoring Toolkits, Educational Papers and Lectures etc. and the team of highly motivated District Mentors) have been highly praised and well utilised in many Lodges—and there is the crux: It is down to you, the  brethren, to develop a system of Mentoring in your Lodges that will help ensure your future success and enhance your recruitment and retention activities.

During the last few months visits have been made to Rochdale , Salford, Audenshaw, Burnley & Bury with visits to further halls in the pipeline. I have also held District Mentor meetings at Accrington and Audenshaw in June and November. A short script has been prepared  entitled ‘ Mentoring Awareness’ which continues to be refined at my District Mentor meetings. I also regularly attend Regional Mentor meetings held at Great Queen Street and Bridge Street.
