Provincial Grand Lodge of East Lancashire
A Special Mason Rewarded - 26 June 2009

WBro Arthur Renshaw, QPM, PProvJGW

The Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Jack Price, and Dorothy, called in to visit Arthur on 26th June 09. They were accompanied by Arthur's well known Brother-in-Law, Mike Nicholson, together with a small retinue of East Lancashire brethren. They arrived bearing gifts, including flowers for Sheilah and Arthur, and were warmly welcomed and treated to lunch.

Arthur is known to most brethren and, until very recently, has given tremendous service to the the Provincial Office, the Salford District and the Lodges and other Orders he has enjoyed. His sense of fun and strong cameraderie has touched many people across the Province and we all recognise both his and Sheilah's courage.

Arthur was in excellent form, full of his usual humour and sparkle and, together, the group enjoyed an excellent time. The special highlight was when Jack surprised Arthur with a brand new collar, jewel and certificate - promoting him to the well earned and deserved rank of Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden of the Province of East Lancashire.

A special reward for an excellent and well loved Freemason.

Arthur Sadly passed away on the 27th August 2009 - he was well loved by many of us and will long be remembered.
