Approximately 40 of the brethren from East Lancashire descended upon Freemasons' Hall at Great Queen Street, to offer support and congratulations to the 16 brethren being appointed or promoted to Grand Rank at the annual Investiture meetings of United Grand Lodge and Supreme Grand Chapter held on 29th and 30th April respectively.

All of these have given continuous hard and loyal service to the Province over many years and have justly earned the accolade associated with receiving honours from Grand Lodge and Supreme Grand Chapter. The brethren who supported them in London were lucky enough to gain tickets to the Craft Investiture meeting and most stayed over to enjoy evening entertainment, some of the sites of London and then to attend the Royal Arch meeting and banquet the following day. The following pages give an outline of what turned out to be a splendid and joyous two days with our Provincial Rulers and colleagues from the Province.
