Abbey Lodge meets on the second Thursday of every month from October to May except December when that is on the second Tuesday. The Installation Meeting is in May. Traditionally the lodge meets at 19-30 to give the Cotton traders chance to get back from Manchester in time for the Lodge meeting. In modern society it also gives members who are well travelled as part of their business an opportunity to get back in time for lodge business.
