Freemasonry offers its members an approach to life that seeks to make good men better men. Through the fundamental principles of our order it reinforces thoughtfulness for others, charity in the community, honesty in all our private and public undertakings, courtesy in society and fairness in all things.
It is definitely not apolitical or religious organisation, it does, however, reinforce our family, moral, civic and religious duties and responsibilities. In other words, we seek, together with others, to make a relevant contribution to caring for the less fortunate and help those in need.
What is love?
A group of researches put the question “What Does Love Mean” to a group of 4 to 8 years olds, here are some responses
- When my grandmother got arthritis she couldn't bend over to paint her toe nails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her even though he's got arthritis too.
- When someone loves you, the way they say they say your name different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.
- Love is what makes you smile when your tired.
- If you want to learn how to love better, you start with someone you don't like.
- Love is like an old woman and an old man who are still friends after they know each other so well.
- I know that my older sister loves me because she gives me her old clothes and has to buy new ones.
- You really shouldn't say ‘love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People Forget.
- A four-year old boy lived next to an elderly gentleman who recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the gentleman's garden climbed onto his lap and just sat there. When his mother asked him what he had said to the gentleman, the little boy said “Nothing, I just helped him cry.”
What a different society we would live in if everyone with power and influence saw themselves as servants instead of stars. Sadly, humanity and the willingness to serve others does not seem to be highly regardfed by those who award the world's prizes
Thank you for your commitment and dedication to serving others. You are truly an inspiration: Practicing those virtues that Freemasonry professes to admire and its members seek to practice.
Life is not measured by the numbers of breaths that we take, buy the number of moments that take our breath away.
Your stories have again taken our breath away and your presence has enriched our lives. Working together, our love and commitment can make a real difference in lives of others.
Thank you for being angels in human form. We salute you and pray that God will bless you all and give you His Peace.
