Relocation of the Lancashire Fusiliers Collection

The fusilers association of Lancashire are in the process of raising £3.2 million to relocate the Lancashire Fusiliers collection from its current home at the Wellington barracks Bolton road to the former arts and crafts centre on Broad Street Bury. The Lottery Heritage fund will provide £2million with the remaining £1.2 million to be raised by the Fusiliers museum appeal.

The Provincial Grand Master for East Lancashire Paul Rink OBE presented a cheque to the appeal for £2000 to Brigadier Roy.M.Wilde CBE Colonel of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. W.Bro Philip Mountford APGM also presented a cheque for £500 from The Bury and Bolton District to Colonel Brian.M.Gorski MBE Deputy Colonel (Lancs ).

The cheques were presented at the Fusiliers Museum Appeal Luncheon which was attended by the Colonel in Chief of the regiment Field Marshall HRH the Duke of Kent KG.
